Hi there! I’m Lies, a Belgian national who recently relocated to Vancouver, Canada after living in the UK for 7 years. I knew from an early age I wanted to move away from my home country (sorry mum and dad!) so I took the plunge and moved to the UK 7 years ago in search for adventure and a new challenge. Since then I’ve lived in England, Scotland and South Africa.
I might not be a full time traveller, but I have a wealth of experience travelling around the world while maintaining a full time job.
I have a wealth of experience travelling around the world while maintaining a full time job.
I’ve been travelling since the age of 5, first on family and group holidays in Belgium and other European countries, and later the rest of the world. My job as a visual effects artist has allowed me to live in different countries and take long breaks in between projects to explore the world.
Living in different countries and my travels in the past 25 years, has given me a whole new perspective over the world and a huge appreciation for other cultures.
Photography is a big part of the blog where we showcase our travel stories with a profound emphasis on the visuals. We want to capture the essence of the destination and transport our visitors to the place through our photography.
If you are interested in the photography gear we travel with, have a look at the following page where I go into more detail about the cameras we use.
At the start of August 2015, I moved to Vancouver together with my boyfriend Ash. Since then, we’ve been exploring British Columbia, parts of the Yukon, and soon Alberta. I can’t wait to see what else Canada has to offer!
